Competing in today's job market is tough. It's not about jobs anymore. It's about staying in the game.
Worker Retraining is designed to help unemployed individuals acquire the skills and training they need to return to work.
The program is a partnership between community and technical colleges and the state Employment Security Department to provide job training to eligible members of Washington's workforce.
The Worker Retraining program provides job-related training and job development services if you meet one of the following criteria:
- You currently receive, or are eligible to receive unemployment benefits
- You have exhausted unemployment benefits within the last 2 years
- You are a displaced homemaker
- You were self-employed but are now unemployed
- You need more skills in order to keep your present job
Attend a Worker Retraining Information Session. These sessions are held every Thursday at 2:00 P.M in BE4180 on our main campus, 1701 Broadway. Directions
Seattle Central's program offers you the opportunity to train in forty two different professional/technical programs. Eligible persons can receive tuition assistance, free books, supplies to apply toward pursuing their professional goals. Find out if you're eligible for Worker Retraining.
