Volunteer Chefs Needed to Help Cook Thanksgiving Meal!
Every Thanksgiving St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Parish in Renton WA hosts a dinner for 200+ people at our church. We are in need of volunteer chefs to help us cook the turkeys, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and gravy. This year’s dinner will be held on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 27th, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
We do our kitchen prep on Wednesday, November 26th from 3 p.m. – finished. We would ask that volunteer chefs arrive at 9am on Thursday, November 27th to begin cooking the food.
To get involved or learn more information please contact Clare Ettensohn at firstname.lastname@example.org or 253.631.1940 x131. Thank you!
“One afternoon as I was digging in the garden, a man stopped at the gate and told me how he had grown up farming potatoes in the highlands of Peru. His life had taken him away from there to other parts of the world and finally here to Seattle. Something about the garden had brought him in and made him feel comfortable enough to share something of his life with me. The PSL garden helps to root the program in the community and helps the community to be aware of the knowledge, delicious food, and talented chefs coming out of the SCA kitchens.” —Tamara Guyton, 3rd Quarter Culinary Arts
