Nominate an Outstanding Instructor

Great teaching should be rewarded, and you can do your part to help an instructor earn recognition. Nominate a deserving faculty member for the Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Service Award.

The Excellence Award was created in 2012 to honor two faculty members who demonstrate outstanding instructional accomplishments, exceptional individual scholastic achievements, and the highest levels of leadership, performance, and excellence related to successful student learning.

Winners will be announced during the last week of Spring Quarter. Each will receive $1,000 from the Seattle Central Foundation and will have their names engraved on the Excellence Award plaque.

The 2016 recipients were:

  • Tsai-En Cheng, Chinese
  • Kimberly McRae, Counseling

Candidates must be current full- or part-time faculty at Seattle Central or SVI. Nominations must be made by current students, faculty, staff or administrators.

Please fill out a nomination form, which can be submitted online.

Deadline is 4 p.m. on May 19, 2017.
