Resume Writing Workshop

The resume is the cornerstone to a quality job application. At this workshop, you’ll learn tips and tricks about how to keep your resume up to modern standards, and increase your chances of getting an interview.

How to Turn a Job Fair into a Job Offer

The Seattle Central 2016 Career Fair is on Thursday, April 21.  This workshop will offer strategies to help you make the most of career fairs.  Learn how to make a great first impression, what to wear, questions to ask, and best practices for following up.

The world of job hunting has changed along with the technology we use. Use this workshop to learn the craft of using LinkedIn and online resources to improve your job prospects through digital networking.

Developing the “Growth Mindset”
Thursday, May 26, 12 – 1 p.m., in Room BE1102A
According to Stanford psychologist Carol S. Dweck, there are two mindsets: the fixed mindset and the growth mindset. In a fixed mindset, people believe that their intelligence or talents are unchangeable, but through a growth mindset, you can learn to excel through dedication and hard work. Learn how to live a better life by developing a growth mindset.
