    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated and detail oriented WEB EDITOR. The Web Editor will assist in the web-based marketing efforts for UW Extension, Evening Degree Program, Graduate Degree Programs, Non-Degree Enrollment, Online Learning, Summer Quarter, and other programs administered by UWEO.

    The Web Editor will maintain existing content and develop new content on multiple UWEO web sites, and assist in the development of new features and sites. The Web Editor will interact with UWEO and campus staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness of site content. Will maintain content on a day-to-day basis on multiple UWEO web sites; ensure that content is accurate and timely; develop and implement processes and procedures for regular review of applicable content.

    Develop new content for multiple UWEO web sites. Assist with the development of new features and sites, and the redesign of existing sites. Work with Marketing Communications to ensure efficient flow of content from web to print and print to web.

    Ensure that web content meets established communication, branding, and accessibility guidelines. Work directly with staff in multiple UWEO and campus departments to coordinate maintenance and development of web content. Assist with other web projects as needed, which may include web marketing activities, database-to-web projects, and ad hoc projects.

    Education REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English or related field AND one year of editing experience, OR five years combined college education and editing experience; most editing experience should be in writing, communications, marketing or public relations.

    EXPERIENCE:

    Demonstrated experience in completing projects accurately and in a timely manner. A successful candidate will be quick to learn technical skills; will have demonstrated the ability to set priorities in successfully accomplishing complex projects; and will be successful working independently and with others on a team.

    Must have demonstrated ability to write clearly and edit accurately, and adhere to larger imaging issues and departmental style. Must have experience with HTML and Web editing tools. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

    DESIRED:

Interns will gain real world experience in a broad array of fields including non-profit fundraising, marketing, sales, web design, sound engineering, and music programming.  KEXP interns will learn skills in business communication, project management, problem solving, audio technology, database management and more.
