Seattle Central’s Technology Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) is located in Room 3111 of the Broadway Edison Building. It is dedicated to the development of its faculty and staff. The TLC exists to provide access to current and emerging technologies and the innovative hands-on technology training, skills, and support needed for use of these technologies. We encourage you to explore options, the use of multiple delivery methods, and to share your ideas and successes with others.

Workshops

We encourage you to attend Free Technology workshops (for SCCD employees). Professional development is vital to the continued success of the college. Join us for a variety of “Hands-On” courses offered each quarter. You may view the entire detailed schedule and register on-line, via e-mail or phone Judy at 934-6943. Technology Assistance - TLC Resource Page

We provide assistance and training with use of computers, scanners, and many other technology tools (video cameras, webcams, smart pen, etc) Visit us to get assistance with e-mail, instructor briefcase/rosters/grades, how, what, why, when to use your different logins.  Learn to create or update course website, record lectures, create a podcast or video.  Get help with applications (Office 10, Web Design or Google Apps, Camtasia, etc.) Explore multiple or alternative delivery methods.  Looking for new ideas just stop by the TLC lab-Room 3111 to learn more. You may also make an appointment.
