Students and employees have access to email and other services both through Google and Microsoft systems.

What is my email address?

Your email address is your EAD name (usually firstname.lastname) @SeattleColleges.edu.

How do I get my EAD name?

Choose the "Initialize" tab at http://tools.seattlecolleges.edu.

Enter the SID and PIN and the desired password. The system will return your EAD login name @seattlecolleges.edu. Remember that name and the password you entered.

To access O365 services, including email, use that EAD login name and password at http://Office365.seattlecolleges.edu.

What if I forgot my password?

You can reset your EAD password at tools.seattlecolleges.edu. Choose the "reset password" tab.

Google Mail & Google Apps

What is my email address?

For new students and new employees, your Google email address is your EADName@seattlecentral.edu. Initial password is your full SID and you will change that on login.

For returning students and returning employees, your google mail address is unchanged. It remains your EdNet Login Name@seattlecentral.edu. Password is the one you set there earlier.

What if I forgot my password?

You can reset your student email password at the following link: seattlecentral.edu/google. The temporary password is your full SID. You will be asked for a permanent password when you login.

Do people at Google know my password?

No. Google has an encrypted hash created from your password.

What if I already have a Gmail/Google/Google Apps Account?

While this system is hosted by Google and includes Gmail and Google Apps, it is completely separate and independent from other Google accounts you may have. You can have both a regular Gmail account and a Seattle Central email account using Google Apps. You can even be logged into both simultaneously.

How can I forward my Seattle Central email to my personal email account?

You can set up your Seattle Central mail to forward to your favorite account. This lets people like your instructors send email to your seattlecentral.edu email address, and lets you read it from the account of your choice.

To set up mail forwarding follow these steps:

  1. Log onto your Seattle Central email account
  2. Click the link titled "Settings" in the upper right corner
  3. Click the tab titled "Forwarding and POP/IMAP"
  4. Click the radio button next to "Forward a copy of incoming mail to"
  5. Type your preferred email address into the text box
  6. Click the button labeled "Save Changes"
