1. What is your name?
Hi! I'm Ann Woodmansee.
2. What subjects do you teach?
I teach intermediate speaking,
reading & writing courses,
academic
reading and writing courses, Pronunciation &Conversation, TOEFL Preparation,
and Lecture
Comprehension.
3.How long have you taught at SCIE?
I've taught at SCIE since the summer of 1991.
4.What is your education and teaching background?
I hold a B.A. in French from the University of California at Berkeley and an M.A.
in English from San Francisco State University.
I've taught English for teacher training, night classes,
and intensive programs in the U.S., Mexico, France, Spain, and Turkey.
5.Have you ever lived outside of the United States?
I've lived in Germany, France, Mexico, Spain, Tunisia, and Turkey.
6.What are some of your hobbies?
In my free time, I play tennis, bike, hike, go to movies, and strum my ukulele.
7.Why do you like teaching at SCIE?
The faculty and staff are fantastic, and so are our students from all parts of the globe,
and so is the central location!
8.What do you think are the benefits to attending our program?
Our program effectively prepares international students to participate in the American college
system and in English speaking communities worldwide.
9.What is an interesting fact about you?
Traveling is one of my favorite pastimes. I've visited about 50 countries in the Americas,
Europe, Africa, and Oceania, and Asia.
