Intensive English Program

SCIE offers general English courses at the beginning,low-intermediate,
and high-intermediate levels. At these levels, full time students take a 2-hour Reading/writing/grammar class and a 2-hour speaking/listening/grammar class.

Students who complete the Intensive English Program may continue in the
Advanced English Program or in College Bridge .

Beginning - Intermediate Courses

Reading/Writing/Grammar (levels 1, 2 & 3)

Speaking/Listening Grammar (levels 1, 2, & 3)

(levels 1, 2 & 3)
(10 hours per week)

Reading/Writing/Grammar 1, 2 and 3 are for students who are planning to go to college
and for students who are learning English for other purposes. Beginning, Low-Intermediate, and High-Intermediate students take an integrated Reading/Writing/Grammar course for two hours a day. Level 1 includes students who have studied English in their countries, but have limited experience in real use of the language.
Level 3 is fairly advanced; students read authentic
materials from books, magazines, newspapers and a variety of sources.

Speaking/Listening Grammar (levels 1, 2, & 3) (10 hours per week)

Speaking/Listening/Grammar 1, 2 and 3 are for students who are planning to go to college and for students who are learning English for other purposes. Beginning, Low-Intermediate, and High-Intermediate students take an integrated Speaking/Listening/ Grammar course for two hours a day. Level 1 includes students who have studied English in their countries, but have limited experience in real use of the language. Level 3 is fairly advanced; students listen to a variety of taped and authentic materials from radio and video sources.
