Description This course introduces students to research strategies and techniques for locating, evaluating, and managing information resources. Each student chooses a research topic to work with throughout the quarter; class assignments will support the research papers for other classes if the student can negotiate for a suitable topic with the other instructor. Library 101 emphasizes retrieval techniques that support proficiency with electronic databases and other standard research tools available through SCCC Library and other libraries. |
