Use the case study of Ming L. on page 222 in the TIP 42 to respond to the questions below.  While the TIP 42 specifies the client has borderline personality disorder, try not to focus on that.  Focus instead on her need to develop alternative coping strategies for dealing with intense emotion and addressing her substance use.  Please word process your paper using 12 pt. font and double space.  Practice professional writing skills, e.g.  use correct grammar and punctuation, use objective and descriptive language and write concisely.

1.  What thinking errors might contribute to Ming's difficulties?
2.  Apply the event to behavior sequence model or behavior chain model to Ming.  You can hypothesize what you think might be happening in order to do this.
3.  How would skill training be useful in working with Ming?
