"What we have to teach students are skills and ways of approaching problems - how to recognize the kinds of materials that are needed to work on different categories of problems and how to go about finding materials when they are needed." Margaret Mead from Personal Views (1979)

I am a faculty librarian at Seattle Central Community College. In addition to teaching and providing reference service, I coordinate library reference services. I also represent the Wood Construction Program and Business, Information Technologies & Creative Arts Divison for collection development and information literacy consulting.

2007-2008 I was reassigned as the Chair of the Instructional Assessment Taskforce. Since that assignment was completed I have continued to working with the Instructional Assessment Committee to develop new college-wide learning outcomes and to support instructional assessment projects around the college.
