Energy and Resources
ENV 170, Environmental Science, Science and Math Division
Credits: 5 (non-lab science)

This course will provide an introduction to energy and material resources. We will investigate the scientific aspects of non-renewable and renewable forms of energy production, highlighting what we used in Washington historically and what we could use in the future. In addition, we'll explore natural resource extraction, refining, use, conservation and recycling through basic life cycle analyses. Global trends, energy policy and economic controls will be touched on throughout the course.
