On-line video or DVD from City of Seattle's Office of Emergency Management

The purposes of these activities are for students to learn topic specific vocabulary, emergency preparedness responses, and to educate self and family about potential dangers in Seattle and at home.

Watch video: This video comes in 14 languages, with more to come. You might want to watch and do activities first in English and then your language if it is available:English, Amharic, Cambodian Cantonese, Chinese-Mandarin, Korean, Oromo, Russian, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, Tigrinya,and Vietnamese.

Link: The video talks about SNAP: Seattle Neighborhoods Actively Prepare. This is a program to get citizens in neighborhoods to organize neighbors to help each other in times of disaster. After you watch the video and do the exercises, why don't you start a SNAP group with your neighbors?
