a.  Ask each other about:
 

   -- present and past occupations.  Use listing principle if applies:
      
       (BEFORE, ME.......NOW, ME............)
        

 --where work now

 --job title and what tasks (be specific - give several tasks)

 --for how long  (ME WORK SINCE.....)

 --like/enjoy job?  Job satisfaction?

 --if get along with coworkers/supervisor/boss  
                        (VERBAL-FIGHT, QUARREL, etc.)

 -- family members' jobs  (RETIRE)
                                         (LAY-OFF)
                                         (NOT WORK)
                                         (LOOK-FOR WORK)

  -- roommates' or significant other's jobs
