Distributional Aspect
Verb Inflection
Distributional Aspect provides information about the 'distribution' of an action. For example using the verb GIVE, we can sign:
GIVE-TO 'all people' in a group
GIVE-TO 'specific individuals' in a group, etc.
GIVE-TO 'each individual' in a group
GIVE-TO 'un-specified individuals' (some/many)
With a partner discuss and sign these sentences:
1. I asked each of the students in class.
2. I've already told all of you my name.
3. Last week I gave money to a few of you.
4. After class a mass of people gave me papers.

Set 1
1. The teacher asked each of you.
2. Did I already show all of you my engagement ring?
3. The game was cancelled because of rain. Did I tell all of you?
4. Tomorrow I'll decide. I'll let you all know.
5. This afternoon I'll pay each of you three dollars.
6. I'll let each of you know my decision tomorrow.
7. I suggested we leave tomorrow. They all told me they'd prefer to leave
tonight.
Set 2
1. When school is over, I'll let each of you know your grade
2. I've already told all of you, you must arrive at 10:00.
3. I want to show all of you my shirt from California.
4. Yesterday I told all of you, you must come on time.
5. Last Saturday I loaned each of you three dollars.
6. You borrow from each of us - stop it!
7. None of you studied. I'm going give all of you more homework.
