Unit 3 – Giving Directions:

Remember to:

a)     Index starting location

b)     Visualize your environment and use distance markers for :
                            NEAR, MODERATE AND FAR

c)     Spatial referents - set up along the way whether directions are simple or complex
 

d)    Index final location (add for clarification NEXT-TO, NEAR, OPPOSITE, etc.). 
             
Confirm.

e)   If your directions are lengthy, e.g. from 1 part of building to a distant location,  you will need to use signer's perspective or shift perspective during directions.
