Tonight...
Receptive Translation #1 "Our Summer Vacation"
For
tonight only:
After recording the story, we will have groups made up of 3 or 4
students to work on a mental map together. There are 2 main reasons for
this:
a) To help transfer students become familiar with the concept of mental maps and;
b) secondly, it's a good review!
I will designate one person in each group to draw up the mental map. The rest of the students in the group will be contributing feedback on what the theme, categories and details may be for this receptive translation.
This group mental map will not be stamped. For homework, you will all draw up your own neat, mental maps and typed English translation which is due next Tuesday.
All students - refer to the Receptive Translation Instructions Link under the Course Resources Section - I've made some slight changes for the ASL 102 class this quarter.
