• Worked on making httpd run different php for old and new users
• made log_reminder.pl quieter
• httpd patch errata on OpenBSD - Used binary patch method.
• started openbsd hints page

Fri 28th

• fixed php-cgiwrap on arthur1
• mysql low on memory killing row level perms on arthur1
• Virtual Arthur1 seems to be running well!

Thurs 27th

• More VM Wrestling - learned a lot about virtual disks

Wed 26th

• Wrestled with Arthur1 VM

Tues 25th

• Got Arthur1 (now Marlinspike) up, and started making arthur1 into a VM

Mon 24th

• Fixed Shelly's mysql permissions so she can use debugger remotely from new IP (I hope)
• Made better way to make multiple cgiwraps
• Came up with working test way to make alternative php-ini for particular users.
  • make new php-cgiwrap with different php-cgi (php-cgi-dep) in this case
  • make php-cgi-dep be a script that calles php -c blah $@

Fri 21st

• Tried upgrading peoples PHP to new standards - Toooo much for one Dylan!

Thurs 20th

• Wrote clean-kernel-clutter.pl
• Wrote auto-kexec.pl
• tracked down email addresses for PHPers
• emailed phpers plan to make Arthur not use depricated features

Wed 19th

• Fixed thing that copies biglist to arthur - g+rw had screwed up .ssh perms
• Lots of cool stuff with VMware
  • Made network of VMs with
    • openbsd firewall

    • openbsd dns, dhcp & ntp server

    • Windows XP box for no good reason

Tues 18th

• Fixed overloud PHP problem on Arthur2
• Fixed cfrun on Arthur2
• Made cfrun show cvs output on -d
• Fixed backup on Arthur2
• Fixed more php problems on arthur2
• Fixed php on arthur1 - hadn't had correct modules installed
• copied mirror to arthur2

• made /home/webmaster/webroot and children g+rw & +s so Rick and Shelly

should be able to upload files

• reduced home on arthur1 to make room for virtualization host
• tried out kexec on babar

Mon, 17th

• fixed renamer.pl AGAIN. Now it considers ditto successful if difference is less than 1 M.
• fixed some problems on Arthur2 pointed out by Shelly. Crons not installed, permissions of /usr/local/var/ wrong.
• More work with VMware - Fedora install from hdd can't use LVM. Needs ISOs. How dumb!

Fri, 14th

• fixed busted-ass renamer.pl and deleter.pl on mac/wootusers
• fixed cvs on arthur2
• got vmware working on test box -- man, this is trippy

Thurs, 13th

• fixed up compareservers.pl to be nicer
• got mod_auth_external and pwauth working on arthur2
• upgraded arthur1 to fedora 5

Wed, 12th

• edison2 crontab was trying to run autoinitrd.pl
• built virtualization test machine
• researched firewalling in vmware with OpenBSD

Tuesday, 11th

• changed HP3K passwd - fixed prngraber and getclextr
• changed passwords on Arthur, Desktop and Zephir
• met with IT instructional peeps re Zephir handover
• got pam_silly_ldap working on Arthur2

Monday, 10th

• Start logging again! set up logging reminder
• configed crontabs for non-active service on edison1
• signed bum configs/never - signdir.pl doesn't seem to be working
• made /usr/local/boots/* readable by all
• fixed stupid desktop X/Radeon problem (use accellerated driver)
• Gave up on installing cvsup on edison2. Will need to use rsync or something like that...
