Ex-Offender Employment Appointments

South Seattle Community College (SSCC) is currently providing employment services to King County Detention, Washington State Employment Security, and Washington State Department of Corrections. As part of the above relationships SSCC is refining a set of best practices to develop an effective model for the placement of individuals with sometimes very challenging backgrounds. The key of the program is to place individuals at sustainable wages with rewarding work in a transitioned life.

SSCC wishes to increase the number of ex-offender clients served while developing this model for ex-offender placement. To this end, SSCC is opening up appointment times for ex-offenders needing employment assistance.

Ex-offender clients may make employment assistance appointments with SSCC’s ex-offender Career Specialists on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1-3 pm. You may call Karen Lane at 206-764-5304 or klane@sccd.ctc.edu to schedule an appointment with SSCC’s OES Career Specialists. You may also call Karen on a Wednesdays or Thursdays to see if drop in appointments are available on the same day.
