American Sign Language is the third most used language in the United States and Canada. There are many employment opportunities in the Deaf Studies track such as social work, educator of the deaf, mental health, and community education. Knowledge of ASL is also a bonus in any field. You will encounter ASL users in every walk of life, whether it is at work, home, entertainment activities, and out in the public.

Due to college-wide changes in curriculum and policy, the ASL/Deaf Studies and the ITP Program have changed departments and are currently undergoing changes. Information may not be shared at this time, as the two programs are currently in transition.
